DuPage County, IL -

A Woodridge man arrested in November after crashing a plane near Downers Grove was under the influence of alcohol and drugs at the time of the crash, according to a grand jury indictment released Wednesday.

Sean Oskvarek, 45, 2033 Westbury Drive, had a blood-alcohol level above .04 — the legal limit for pilots — and had marijuana, cocaine, opiates and benzodiazepines in his system Nov. 15 when he crashed a single-engine Cessna 182 near Brookeridge Airport, the indictment states.

The plane belongs to his mother, Evangeline, according to Federal Aviation Administration records. Oskvarek had a valid pilot’s license at the time of the crash.

Prior to the crash, Oskvarek flew under power lines, clipped a house and a car and landed upside down in a yard, authorities said.

Oskvarek was treated for minor injuries at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. He was arrested and charged upon his release.

If convicted of the felony charges, Oskvarek faces a possible prison sentence of two to five years.
