Vicky Trupiano, director of the Reddick Public Library District in Ottawa for the past seven years, has been chosen director of the Fountaindale Public Library District effective Feb. 9, according to a release issued this morning.
Trupiano will replace Karen Anderson, who has been with Fountaindale for more than 30 years, the last five years as director.
Prior to being director at Reddick, Trupiano also served as head of the Adult/Young Adult Department at the Woodridge Public Library and a reference librarian at Roosevelt University in Chicago. Trupiano is the fourth director for the Fountaindale Public Library District since the district was established in 1974.
Fountaindale trustees are expected to approve the hire at the Library Board’s Jan. 15 regular board meeting.
