Naperville police arrested a 19-year-old Naperville man Nov. 18 for what police say was his role in a car-jacking that took place Nov. 12.

Marcus E. Taylor, 19, 2552 Carrolwood Ave., Naperville, remains in DuPage County Jail on $750,000 bond after police arrested him Nov. 18, according to Commander Dave Hoffman, spokesman for the Naperville Police Department.

According to police, Taylor’s Nov. 18 arrest came four days after he was arrested and charged in connection with a home invasion that took place on Nov. 10 at 796 Inland Circle, Naperville.

In that case Taylor is charged with home invasion and armed robbery for allegedly driving the getaway vehicle after he and three others broke into the home.

After posting bond, police said, Taylor was arrested again for his alleged participation in a car jacking of a 2004 Pontiac Gran Prix from an 18-year-old male in the 1200 block of Chalet Road on Nov. 12.

In that case the victim was struck in the head with a handgun before four suspects drove off with the man’s car. The suspect was uninjured in the incident.

The next day police recovered the stolen vehicle in the parking lot of Brunswick Zone, 1515 Aurora Ave., Naperville.

“Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of Mr. Taylor, and we continue to investigate the case in hopes e can identify the other three suspects,” Hoffman said.
