Bolingbrook, IL -

A brief air show will precede the fireworks display during the annual Village of Bolingbrook Fourth of July Celebration, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, July 4, at the Bolingbrook Golf Club, 2001 Rodeo Drive, Bolingbrook.

The festivities begin with two golf outings in the morning, followed by the All-American Family Picnic beginning at 5 p.m.

The picnic includes a variety of family and children’s activities, as well as food and beverages for sale including grilled chicken, hamburgers, sausage and frozen custard.

Patrons are invited to bring their own snacks and beverages, lawn chairs and blankets to the grounds of the golf club.

At about 8:30 p.m., several airplanes originating at Bolingbrook Clow International Airport a few miles north of the golf course will fly over the grounds prior to the beginning of the 30-minute fireworks display scheduled for dusk.

“We will put on a little bit of an air show,” Bolingbrook Mayor Roger Claar said.

For more information, call the club at (630) 771-9400.
