A rash of car burglaries in the area has prompted La Grange officials to issue a an alert to residents, particularly those who park in the street, in driveways or the the village’s commuter parking lots.
In many cases, cars were unlocked at the time of the thefts.
Such items as GPS devices, iPods and cellular phones appear to be prime targets to thieves.
Police are asking residents to remove such items from vehivlesrand to make sure vehicles are locked.
