The Olmsted Society of Riverside will be hosting an Olmsted Society Work Day from 9 a.m. to noon July 18.
The day is part of the 2009 Landscape Workdays Schedule, and will be held at Longcommon Road and Downing Triangle.
The purpose of the society, a joint effort between the Riverside Public Works Department and the Riverside Frederick Law Olmsted Society, is to help beautify Riverside’s parks.
The society invites all residents of Riverside to come and help out, for whatever amount of time they can. Supervised children are welcome to help, and service hour credits are available for students. Bring work gloves and a water bottle — all other snacks and supplies will be provided for the volunteers.
