Get outdoors and explore this Saturday, June 11, with Peaceful Parlour in Geneva. The "go green"-inspired establishment celebrates National Get Outdoors Day, also known as GO Day, from noon to 2 p.m.
GO Day is a new annual event to encourage healthy, active, outdoor fun with the goal of reconnecting the youth to the great outdoors. Peaceful Parlour's partner for GO Day, Planet Fassa, will lead several earth-friendly and child-loving events.
Festivities include:
Noon to 1:45 p.m. – Play outdoor games with safe props from the shop, like playsilk Tubby, and build musical instruments from recycled materials, like kazoos, maracas, tissue box guitars and coffee can drums.
1:45 to 2 p.m. – March in a sidewalk parade with the up-cycled musical instruments that you've created.
