Church burglarized

A fax machine, Gateway laptop computer, two silver chalices, six silver communion trays, Xerox printer, and a 47-inch Philips TV and TV stand were reported stolen at about 9:07 a.m. Nov. 6 from Bethel United Church of Christ, police said.

Sexual assault alleged

A 21-year-old woman reported being sexually assaulted after waking up in a bedroom the morning after a small house party with someone on top of her at about 11:44 a.m. Nov. 6 at an undisclosed home, police said.

Stolen vehicle charge filed

Keon Delaney, 20, of 1771 McCormick Lane, Hanover Park, was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle at about 5:58 p.m. Nov. 7 at Interstate 290 and St. Charles Road, police said.

Mini Zamboni stolen

A mini Zamboni Auto Scrubber valued at $6,000 was reported stolen at about 1:24 p.m. Nov. 10 from JMS Building Solutions in Willowbrook, police said. The mini Zamboni was used to clean the Dominick’s in Elmhurst.

Thefts reported

A brown leather purse valued at $100 containing a blue and green wallet, AT&T Razr cell phone, Social Security card, Medicare card, credit cards, Air Force ID card and $200 in cash was reported stolen from a grocery cart at around 11:07 a.m. Nov. 4 at Jewel Osco, 153 Schiller St.

A wallet with a credit card was reported stolen at about 4:40 p.m. Nov. 4 from Choi Nails, 114 W. Park Ave., police said.

A total of $392 cash was reported stolen from a cash register at about 12:22 p.m. Nov. 6 from GQ Formalwearcq, 263 N. York Road, police said.

An unemployment benefit debit card was reported stolen from a home on the 400 block of Argyle Avenue and used to withdraw $300 from an ATM in Wheaton at about 2:32 p.m. Nov. 6, police said.

A wallet was reported stolen at about 10:26 p.m. Nov. 8 from a bench at 116 N. York Road, police said.

A bicycle and lock were reported stolen from Lincoln School at about 4:23 p.m. Nov. 10, police said.

Retail theft charged

Barbara Larson, 40, of 566 S. Sunnyside Ave., was charged with retail theft after attempting to steal $94.47 worth of bedding at about 2:03 p.m. Nov. 6 at Kohl’s, 303 S. Route 83, police said.

Lukas Franzen, 18, of 1609 Arlington Drive, Hanover Park, was charged with retail theft after attempting to steal a bottle of 1800 Tequila at about 6:42 p.m. Nov. 6 from Dominick’s, 215 S. Route 83, police said.

A juvenile was charged with retail theft after trying to steal $92.68 worth of miscellaneous items at about 6:15 p.m. Nov. 7 from Kohl’s, 303 S. Route 83, police said.

A juvenile was charged with retail theft after attempting to steal three pairs of earrings at about 6:17 p.m. Nov. 7 from Sears, 265 S. Route 83, police said.

Prowling, possession charged

Jameica Brown, 36, of 4524 Leclaire Ave., Chicago, was charged with prowling and possession of drug paraphernalia while Edward Johnson, 44, of 7586 Northway Drive, Hanover Park, was charged with prowling at about 12:52 a.m. Nov. 7 at a business complex at 977 N. Oaklawn Ave., police said.

Lost property reported

A wallet containing a driver’s license, $100 cash, a canceled debit card and several  gift cards was reported lost at about 12:39 p.m. Nov. 5 at York High School.

Vehicles stolen

A 1999 20-foot Pace American box trailer was reported stolen at about 11:47 a.m. Nov. 4 on the 600 block of West North Avenue, police said.

A dark blue Ford F250 or F350 pickup truck, Kohler 135 kilowatt Power System Generator and a trailer were reported stolen at about 3:27 p.m. Nov. 4, from Patten Industries, 615 W. Lake St., police said.

Drug charges filed

Guadalupe Rivera-Diaz, 30, 2821 S. Kedvale Ave., Chicago, and Amador De La Luz, 21, and Daniel Mendez, 25, both of 3200 S. Kedvale Ave., Chicago, were charged with possession of marijuana at about 7:20 p.m. Nov. 4 at Interstate 290 and Route 83, police said.

Anthony Sloss, 42, of 6916 S. Clyde Ave., Chicago, was charged with possession of marijuana at about 1:28 a.m. Nov. 6 at Team Spirit Shell gas station on 103 W. Third St., police said.

Constance Miller, 27, of 1500 Jay Ave., Melrose Park, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance at about 11:31 a.m. Nov. 10, at North Avenue and Walnut Street, police said.

Jared Talley, 22, of 3800 Northwest Highway, Crystal Lake, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia at about 3:42 p.m. Nov. 10, in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn Elmhurst, police said.

Intent to deliver charged

Rennan Calvillo, 19, of 706 S. Summit Ave., Villa Park, was charged with felony possession of marijuana and Amber Sullivan, 17, of 115 N. Summit Ave., Villa Park, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia at about 7:47 p.m. Nov. 7, at St. Charles Road and Sunnyside Avenue, police said.

House reportedly egged

A living-room window reportedly was egged at about 9:51 p.m. Nov. 7 on the 300 block of West Fremont Avenue, police said.

DUI charges filed

Troy Chatman, 24, of 7360 N. Fairview Ave., Downers Grove, was charged with driving under the influence at about 6:55 a.m. Nov. 5 at North Avenue and Route 83, police said.

Audrius Grigas, 52, of 5828 W. 107th Court, Chicago Ridge, was charged with two counts of DUI at about 11:15 p.m. Nov. 7 on Route 83 between North Avenue and St. Charles Road, police said.

Natalie Ljubicic, 29, of 3555 W. Thorndale Ave., Chicago, was charged with two counts of DUI at about 2:05 a.m. Nov. 8 at St. Charles and Spring roads, police said.

Kristine Tarbunas, 29, of 9017 Melvina Ave., Oak Lawn, was charged with DUI at about 2:20 a.m. Nov. 8 on York Road between Fremont Avenue and Lake Street, police said.

Igor Stechyshyncq, 40, of 2132 N. 77th Court, Elmwood Park, was charged with two counts of DUI at about 6:36 p.m. Nov. 8 at Grand Avenue and County Line Road, police said.

Vinicio Garcia, 20, of 940 W. Irving Park Road, Bensenville, was charged with two counts of DUI at about 9:12 p.m. Nov. 10 at Route 83 and North Ave., police said.

Motor vehicles burglarized

A window was smashed and a gray Tom Tom GPS unit was reported stolen from a Jeep at about 9:06 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, from an unknown location on the 300 block of North Elm Street, police said.

A window of a white Chevy Express was smashed and a Nuvi GPS unit valued at $200, Mikta Drill Gun valued at $300, and a Paslode Nail Gun valued at $370 were reported stolen at about 11:10 p.m. Nov. 5 from the 400 block of North Larch Avenue, police said.

A portable welder and several power tools were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle at about 11:14 a.m. Nov. 6 on the 700 block of North Larch Avenue, police said.

A window was smashed and a Valentine radar detector valued at $400 was reported stolen from a van at about 9:06 p.m. Nov. 10 on the 100 block of Seminole Avenue, police said.

Motor vehicles damaged

A vehicle’s tires were reported slashed, causing about $400 of damage at about 6:47 a.m. Nov. 8 in a parking lot at 183 N. York Road, police said.

A car reportedly was keyed at about 5:01 p.m. Nov. 10, while parked in the rear of the Knights of Columbus building, 537 S. York St., police said.

The front passenger-side window of a car was reported shattered at about 8:48 p.m. Nov. 10, in a parking stall at Maple Avenue and First Street, police said.

Residential burglary

Several pieces of jewelry were reported stolen at about 8:23 a.m. Nov. 10 from a home on the first block of Birch Tree Court, police said.

A hundred DVDs, an XBox and accessories, flat screen TVs, miscellaneous jewelry, a box of ammunition, and an Airsoft P226 gun totalling approximately $4,965 were reported stolen at about 8:17 p.m. Nov. 10 from a home on the 700 block of North Indiana Street, police said.

Disorderly conduct charged

Tyler Wurtz, 25, of 201 Alexandria Drive, Vernon Hills, was charged with disorderly conduct-public intoxication at about 3 a.m. Nov. 7, at 231 E. Fremont Ave., police said.

James Miller, 49, of 380 S. Sunnyside Ave., Elmhurst, was charged with disorderly conduct-public intoxication at about 2:15 a.m. Oct. 31, at Fairview Avenue and Randolph Street, police said.

Daniel Hetzner, 20, of 15W332 Lexington Street, Elmhurst, was charged with disorderly conduct and consumption of alcohol by a minor at about 1:53 a.m. Nov. 1 at 615 S. Hawthorne Ave., police said.
