LOMBARD – No injuries were reported after the Lombard Fire Department responded to a fire in the unattached garage of a home at 1139 S. Edgewood Ave. on Wednesday night.
LISLE – A Westmont man is facing a slew of charges after an alleged domestic incident in Lisle May 5.
ELMHURST – A semi-trailer truck became overturned on Wednesday afternoon on the ramp from westbound Interstate 290 to northbound Route 83.
BURR RIDGE – Dr. Nalini Ahluwalia of Burr Ridge has been charged with one count of violating the anti-kickback law for allegedly receiving $1,000 in exchange for referring two patients to a home health care agency in August 2012.
DOWNERS GROVE – Downers Grove police charged two women who allegedly burglarized several retail stores in Willowbrook, Elmhurst and Downers Grove last week.
OAK BROOK – The Oak Brook Police Department is joining more than 500 local law enforcement agencies across the state to enforce seat belt and DUI laws this month.
HINSDALE – Nearly 50 teens were cited for underage alcohol consumption last week after a party in the 700 block of North Oak Street, Hinsdale police said.
ELMHURST – An Elmhurst woman was sentenced to six years in prison on Tuesday for stealing more than $400,000 in housing vouchers.
A child's body has been recovered from the Des Plaines River near Riverside today, according to a spokeswoman for the Cook County Sheriff's Department.
ELMHURST – The FBI and Elmhurst police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Monday at US Bank on York Road.
WHEATON – Angela Kramer clutched her sunglasses, keeping her head down as the jury was led back into the courtroom Tuesday evening after a little more than two hours of deliberating the fate of Johnny Borizov.
Johnny Borizov, 31, of Willow Springs, was on trial in the DuPage County Courthouse for allegedly orchestrating the murders of Lori, Jeff and Michael Kramer of Darien in March 2010. The trial lasted four weeks, beginning in April 2013. It was the first in the Chicago area to allow cameras in the courtroom.
CICERO – Police in Cicero have charged Yoehta Brown, of the 100 block of North Long Avenue, in Chicago with attempted murder after she allegedly stabbed another woman multiple times at a party in Cicero Sunday night.
DOWNERS GROVE – A woman told police she was jogging at 11:46 a.m. Wednesday at Grand Avenue and 59th Street when a man driving a black, newer-model sedan pulled up next to her and honked the horn before exposing and fondling himself and speeding away.
VILLA PARK – A Joliet man remains in jail on $500,000 bond after being charged with sexually abusing a Villa Park teenager.
