DOWNERS GROVE – Between 50 and 75 cartons of cigarettes were reported stolen in an apparent business burglary between 10:30 p.m. Nov. 26 and 5:10 a.m. Nov. 27.
WOODRIDGE – The Lisle-Woodridge Fire District responded to a report of smoke inside a residence at about 3:39 p.m. Dec. 3, according to a district news release.
LYONS – A bomb threat at Washington Middle School, 8101 Ogden Ave., in Lyons, led to the evacuation of about 800 students from the school at about 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, according to District 103 officials and the Lyons Police Department.
BURR RIDGE – A pre-trial hearing date has been scheduled for a Burr Ridge man accused of killing an Orland Park man in a fatal DUI crash last March.
WHEATON – A Lombard man was charged with six counts of felony child pornography after an extensive undercover investigation by the Wheaton Police Department, according to a department news release.
WOODRIDGE – A former Woodridge trainer pleaded guilty Monday to sexually abusing a 16-year-old athlete in 2012, according to the DuPage County State's Attorney.
ELMHURST – The Ray Graham Association location in Elmhurst was unable to open today after someone reportedly broke into and vandalized the building early Thanksgiving morning.
ELMHURST – Police closed off traffic on Park Avenue for a couple hours Sunday while investigating a suspicious package found in front of the post office, police said.
VILLA PARK – The DuPage County Sheriff's Office is searching for a Villa Park man wanted for aggravated driving while license revoked.
BOLINGBROOK – A mother and son died in an apparent murder-suicide the day after Thanksgiving, according to the Bolingbrook Police Department.
ROMEOVILLE – Two Joliet men are charged with aggravated battery of a police officer and resisting a police officer after a suspected retail theft incident in which one of the men was shot on Thanksgiving evening at Kohl's Department Store, 261 S. Weber Road, Romeoville, according to the Romeoville Police Department.
ROMEOVILLE – Media reports Friday morning indicate that police officers were involved in the shooting of a shoplifting suspect outside a Kohl's in Romeoville.
A man identified as a former Wheaton resident was shot and killed by a police officer in Boulder, Colo. after charging at first responders while holding two knives, according to a news release from the Boulder Police Department.
WHEATON – More than 16 months have passed since former St. Francis High School and St. Louis University volleyball star Megan Boken was shot and killed for her smart phone on the streets of St. Louis.
RIVERSIDE – A 16-year-old Brookfield boy was charged with aggravated battery after allegedly attempting to choke a substitute teacher trying to prevent a fight Nov. 20 at Riverside Brookfield High School.
