
Burglaries reported
Huntley Police received a report Sept. 18 that a purse was taken from an unlocked residence near 10900 Wheatlands Way. Police said the burglar entered the home through an open, rear sliding glass door. The purse was later recovered with all belonging in it except the cash, police said.
Huntley Police received a report Sept. 18 of a residential burglary that occurred in the area of 10600 Lonestar Way. Police said a wallet containing $250, a purse, cell phone and glasses were stolen sometime between 1 and 8 a.m.. Entry to the home was gained through an unlocked rear glass sliding door, police said. With the exception of the cash, the other items were recovered and returned to the owner, police said.
Huntley Police received a report Sept. 18 of a residential burglary that occurred near 9500 Inverness. The resident reported that a purse was taken off the counter sometime during the night though an unlocked patio door, police said. The residence backs up to the Borhart Park bike path, police said.
Huntley Police received a report Sept. 18 of a residential burglary that occurred near 10700 Nantucket. The resident reported that someone entered the home through an unlocked sliding door and took a cell phone off the counter, police said.
Huntley Police received a report Sept. 20 of a burglary that occurred to a motor vehicle near 106000 Lone Star. The stolen items include a Milwaukee 19.2 volt sawzall, a jigsaw drill and a Paslode compressed air nailer, police said. The total estimated value of the stolen items is $1,100.
Huntley Police received a report Sept. 17 that 17 concrete forms and 9 inside corners belonging to Manning Concrete were stolen sometime over the weekend from a construction site. The estimated value of the stolen items was $6,900.

Arrests made on warrant
Jason S. Haut, 18, 15004 Harmony Rd., Huntley, was arrested Sept. 17 on a warrant out of Algonquin for aggravated fleeing, eluding and endangering the life of a child, according to police. He was extradited by Algonquin police.
Benjamin Post, 19, 11610 E. Main St., Huntley, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for domestic battery, according to police. He was transported to McHenry County Jail.
Police respond to high school
Two juveniles were involved in a physical altercation Sept. 17 at Huntley High School, according to police. One of the juveniles was issued a local ordinance citation for battery and was issued a court date.
Criminal damage reported
Huntley Police received a report Sept. 20 of criminal damage to property that occurred at the American Legion on Coral Street. Police said an unknown person went on the rooftop and broke three security bulbs.
Huntley police received a report Sept. 22 that a mailbox valued at $100 was knocked over in the vicinity of 11600 Frederick.
Huntley Police received a report Sept. 18 of criminal damage to property that occurred in the port-a-potty at Borhart Park.
Huntley Police received a report Sept. 22 of a side garage door that was kicked in on a home near 10100 Fleetwood.
Huntley police received a report Sept. 23 that a house was egged and a small lawn statue was broken in the area of 11900 Cape Cod.
DUI charges filed
Gerald C. Roewer, 20, 301 Barswallow Drive, Woodstock, was arrested Sept. 22 for driving under the influence was and cited for improper lane usage, according to police.
He posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date.
James A. Decaro, 38, 10950 Potomac, was arrested Sept. 21 for driving under the influence of alcohol and DUI over 0.08, according to police. He was also cited for having no headlights when required, and improper lane usage, police said. He posted bond and was released with a McHenry County court date.
