Man arrested for DUI

William Ronald O’Brien, 35, of Harvard, was arrested for illegal transportation of alcohol, driving under the influence and failure to wear a seatbelt on Aug. 11, Marengo Police said. He was released from McHenry County Jail after posting bond.

Man charged with numerous traffic violations

Steven J. Fanning, 21, 2207 N. Woodlawn Park Ave., McHenry, was arrested Aug. 14 for the following offenses: unlawful use of a weapon, operation of a motor vehicle with expired registration, driving with a suspended license, operating a vehicle without insurance, improper display of license sticker, no valid registration, failure to carry registration card, operation of vehicle without proof of registration, improper use of registration, no certificate of title, failure to comply with the title and registration laws of I.V.C., driving under the influence of alcohol, fleeing and attempting to elude a peace officer, driver’s view obstructed, failure to wear seatbelt and unsafe opening of vehicle doors, police said. He was transported to McHenry County Jail.

Man arrested for failure to appear in court

Brian R. Keller, 22, Marengo, was arrested Aug. 12 for an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court on a dangerous drug charge, police said. He was transported to McHenry County Jail.

Boxes stolen from garage

Huntley received a report Aug. 6 of the theft of 1,600 boxes and a case of couplings valued at $35.66. Police said the items were taken from an unsecured garage near 10200 Humboldt.

Man charged with aggravated assault

Oliver Rico, 19, 10910 Wheatlands Way, Huntley, was arrested Aug. 6 for aggravated assault and disorderly conduct, police said. He was released from McHenry County Jail after posting bond.

Car burglarized

Huntley police received a report Aug. 7 of a car break-in near 11700 Woodcreek. A resident reported that a car door was pried open and several items including an amplifier, subwoofer, CDs and miscellaneous vacuum attachments were stolen, according to police.

Windshield stolen

Huntley police received a report Aug. 9 that a front windshield was stolen off of a Bobcat skid loader located near 10600 N. Church Street.

Gargoyle damaged

Huntley Police received a report Aug. 10 that a plaster gargoyle valued at $200 was broken in half sometime overnight near 12500 LaSalle.

Battery arrests made

Roberto-Brito-Flores, 45, 475 Park Drive, Apt. A, Marengo, was arrested Aug. 11 for battery, police said. He was released from McHenry County Jail after posting bond.

Ryan T. Herold, 23, 10369 Vine Street, Apt. 2B, Huntley, was arrested Aug. 10 for domestic battery, police said. He was transported to McHenry County Jail.

Candelario Viesca, Jr., 39, 11206 S. Myrtle, Huntley, was arrested Aug. 11 for domestic battery and unlawful interference with reporting domestic battery, police said. He was transported to McHenry County Jail.

Gina M. Mahoney, 42, 10727 Santa Fe Court, Huntley, was arrested Aug. 7 for domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence, police said. She was transported to McHenry County jail. 

Janet L. Behrens, 38, Genoa City, Wis. was charged Aug. 8 with domestic battery and unlawful interference with the reporting of domestic battery, Marengo police said. She was transported to McHenry County Jail to have bond set by a judge.
