During the Halloween weekend, 13 drivers were charged with driving under the influence.

The Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office, 11 Fox Valley municipalities, the Kane County Sheriff’s Department and the Illinois State Police collaborated to conduct a “no refusal” weekend from Friday, Oct. 30 to Sunday, Nov. 1.

Participating police agencies included Batavia, St. Charles, Geneva, Carpentersville, East Dundee, Elburn, Elgin, Kane County Sheriff, Illinois State Police, Montgomery, South Elgin, Sugar Grove and West Dundee.

While no one was charged in Batavia, the following charges were filed in Geneva and St. Charles:

GENEVA

  •  Scott L. Kappesser, 41, of the 1300 block of Spencer Lane in Batavia was charged Saturday, Oct. 31 with one count of DUI and other moving violations. He is free on bond and has a court date of Nov. 17.
  •  Adam R. Gordon, 26, of the 43 West Block of Smith Road in Elburn was charged Saturday with one count of DUI and other moving violations. He is free on bond and has a court date of Dec. 1.
  •  John R. Wrona, 39, of the 116 block of Millennium Parkway in Plainfield was charged Saturday, Oct. 31 with one count of DUI and other moving violations. He is free on bond and has a court date of Nov. 17

ST. CHARLES

  •  Kevin Cestone, 38, of the 39 West block of Robert Frost Circle in St. Charles was charged Saturday, Oct. 31 with one count of DUI. He is free on bond and has a court date of Dec. 2.
  •  Christine Totten, 20, of the 600 block of Greenmeadow Lane, Geneva was charged Sunday, Nov. 1 with one count of DUI. She is free on bond and will be in court Dec. 2.
