Taxpayers United of America (TUA) will hold a press conference today at 1 p.m. to reveal two lawsuits it intends to file immediately after the press conference on behalf of the taxpayers in Oak Park and Riverside-Brookfield School Districts.
The press conference will be on the 7th floor of The Daley Center - 50 W. Washington, Chicago.
The issue is whether the voters in those districts were mislead by the ballot language inserted by those districts on the April 5th 2011 election referenda.
An additional issue concerns the illegal electioneering engaged in by proponents of the Riverside-Brookfield referendum.
Tony Peraica, Former Cook County Commissioner, and Noel Kuriakos, Founder and President of United Taxpayers of Oak Park, petitioners in the litigation, will be at the conference.
Jim Tobin and Christina Tobin, President and Vice-president of TUA and attorney Andrew Spiegel will also be in attendance.
