Suspected 'TCF Bandit' appears in federal court; Harold Beck of Berwyn busted in Elmhurst

Harold Beck, the Berwyn man accused of being the 'TCF Bandit' and responsible for more than a dozen bank robberies throughout the Chicago area, appeared in federal court late Wednesday morning for an initial hearing. He will remain in federal custody until there is an indictment or further court proceedings, neither of which have yet been scheduled.
