Lombard, IL -

Lombard resident Kevin Jablonsky was struck and killed by an eastbound Union Pacific freight train near Route 38 and Nelson Road in DeKalb County around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Jablonsky, 21, was walking along the tracks before he was killed, and died on the scene.

The accident is being investigated by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office and the DeKalb County Coroner’s Office, though no foul play is suspected.
