Chairman calls for applicants to file board vacancy

DuPage County Board Chairman Robert Schillerstrom is asking individuals interested filling the County Board seat vacated by Michael Connelly, R-5th District, of Lisle to submit a letter of intent and resume by Jan. 23.
“Once I have received everyone’s information I will review all the candidates thoroughly before making my selection,” Schillerstrom said.
He has 60 days to replace Connelly, who was sworn in as a state representative Wednesday.
Those interested in the vacancy should send their letter and resume to the DuPage County Board chairman’s office, 421 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, 60187. Letters can also be dropped off at the chairman’s office, which is located on the third floor.
The 5th District includes all or portions of Naperville, Aurora, Lisle and Warrenville.
