Unsecured child alleged
Javier Fuentes, 28, of Joliet, was charged with failure to secure a child under 8 years old, driving while license suspended and driving without lights when required at about 8:15 p.m. June 6 in the 12300 block of Archer Avenue, police said.
DUI charge made
Arunas Mozuraitis, 39, of the 600 block of Knoebel Drive, Lemont, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use and illegal transportation of alcohol at about 11 p.m. June 6 at State and 127th streets, according to police.

GPS stolen
A global positioning system, valued at $600, was removed from an unlocked 2004 Mitsubishi Fuso box truck at Vitas, 16W301 S. Frontage Road, between June 2 and 4, according to police. The truck’s license plate also was stolen, police added.

GPS stolen
A global positioning system was removed from an unlocked BMW parked in the 300 block of Harris Avenue between June 1 and 2, police said. The player is valued at about $500.
Darien
Fireworks damage mailbox
Fireworks were detonated in a mailbox in the 7100 block of Summit Road between 7:30 p.m. May 27 and 12:30 a.m. May 28, causing $750 in damage, police said.
Theft at Hinsdale South
A purse containing a wallet, cash, cell phone and miscellaneous items valued at $2,110 was stolen at Hinsdale South High School, 7401 Clarendon Hills Road, police said. The purse was left unattended on a chair, police added.
Electrical wire stolen
A 500-foot reel of electrical wire valued at $300 was removed from the city’s new water tower construction site at Cass Avenue and Plainfield Road between 4:30 p.m. May 29 and 7:30 a.m. May 30, police said.
Generator, drill taken
A locked 2003 Ford van was burglarized in the 7700 block of Cass Avenue between 1:30 p.m. May 31 and 4:30 p.m. June 1, police said. A power generator and power drill, valued at $1,200, were missing police said.
Man charged with DUI
Police arrested Timothy W. Dravus, 50, of Thomasville, Ga., at about 11:30 p.m. June 1 at Lemont Road and 75th Street and charged him with driving under the influence, illegal transportation of open liquor, improper lane usage and failure to signal when required, police said.
Theft reported at Wal-Mart
A wallet, digital camera, cash, miscellaneous credit card and identification cards were removed from a shoulder bag left unattended in Wal-Mart, 2189 75th St., between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. June 2, according to police.
Suspended license alleged
Police arrested Yousuf S. Alkhawaja, 20, 8912 Middleton Road, Darien, near Cass Avenue and 75th Street at about 2 a.m. June 3 and charged him with driving with a suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, police said.
Woman charged with theft
Police arrested Farzana B. Barde, 43, 304 Deming Place, Westmont, at Wal-Mart, 2189 75th St., and charged her with retail theft. Police said the woman left with an unknown amount of merchandise without paying.
Teens picked up for drinking
Police arrested two Darien teenagers and one from Willowbrook at about 1:30 a.m. June 4 near High and Plainfield roads and charged them with consumption of alcohol by a minor, according to police.
Charged were Shaun R. Matuska, 18, 1135 Chapman Drive, and Lester J. Maka, 18, 6713 Alabama Ave., both of Darien, and Christopher C. Chapulis, 18, 6627 Sheffield Lane, Willowbrook, police said.
Burr Ridge man stopped
Police arrested Curtis Lee, 48, 9041 Royal Drive, Burr Ridge, at about midnight June 4 at South Frontage Road and Cass Avenue and charged him with driving under the influence and improper parking on the roadway, police said.
Romeoville drivers charged
Police arrested Irene Delgado, 42, of Romeoville, near Lemont Road and 87th Street at about 12:30 a.m. June 5 and charged her with having no valid driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, according to police.
About an hour later, police stopped Ponciano Martinez, 29, of Romeoville, at North Frontage Road and Lemont Road at about 1:15 a.m. and charged him with driving under the influence, failure to surrender driver’s license and driving with a suspended license, according to police.
