Man nets battery charge
Thomas R. Farrell, 45, of Kip Place, Lemont was charged with battery after being arrested at about 7:45 p.m. Aug. 2 in the 400 block of Grant Street, police said. Police did not provide any additional details on the matter before press time.

Ammo possession alleged
Brian G. Vodnik, 42, of John Street, Lemont was charged with unlawful possession of firearm ammunition without a Firearm Owner’s Identification card, driving while license suspended and expired registration sticker at about 8 p.m. Aug. 1 following a traffic stop in the 200 block of Cass Street, police said.

Bicycles reported stolen
• A bike was stolen between 3:45 and 4:30 p.m. July 31 in 1100 block of State Street, police said.

• A BMX bike and two DVDs were stolen between midnight and 8:45 a.m. July 31 in the 700 block of McCarthy Road, police said.

• A boy’s bike and cable lock were taken between 11:30 p.m. July 28 and 1 p.m. July 29 from the 400 block of Holmes Street, police said.

Tire rims missing
Two chrome tire rims were taken between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Aug. 1 from the yard in the 1100 block of McCarthy Road, police said.

Underage drinking alleged
Corey R. Campbell, 20, of Bell Road, Lemont was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor after being arrested at 1:15 a.m. Aug. 1 at 127th Street and Hillview Drive, police said.

MP3 player stolen
An iPod Touch was stolen from a vehicle at about 8:30 p.m. July 27 in the 1200 block of State Street, police said.
