Hope and Friendship Foundation is looking for volunteers and lunch meat and supplies to make 200 lunches for local seniors and the needy.
Foundation creator Terri O’Neill said at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Starbucks, 1243 State St., she will be creating 200 lunches filled with a sandwich, snack bars, chips, pretzels and a bottle of water or juice for seniors Franciscan Village in Lemont and those in need at Morningstar Mission in Joliet.
The lunches will also contain notes of encouragement or inspiration and a $5 giftcard for lunch at McDonalds or Burger King.
O’Neill is looking for volunteers to help make the lunches and lunch meet, small bags of chips or pretzels, snack bars, bottled water, juice or Gatorade and gift cards.
Any extra supplies will go to the Lemont Food Pantries to help fill lunches for children in town.
