Jasmin Nunez’s goal three minutes before halftime of a Class 2A state semifinal match Friday in Naperville powered Lemont’s girls soccer team to Saturday’s championship game.

Making their first state-tournament appearance, the Indians (21-5) defeated Chatham Glenwood 1-0. Shelley Hadlock assisted the eventual game-winner for the Indians, who are . The defense did the rest, limiting the Titans to just five shots on goal. Lemont goalie Erin Stahurski recorded fives saves.

The Indians are set to battle Wheaton Academy for the state crown at 1 p.m. Saturday at North Central College. The Warriors (21-3-2) defeated Sycamore 5-2 in their semifinal.
