Lemont, IL -

Each household in Lemont will receive a 10-question form from the U.S. Census Bureau next March.

One in every 12 households will receive a longer questionnaire. Residents are urged to fill out and return the questionnaire. Federal funds are distributed based on the census count. Without a complete count, the village of Lemont may not receive its fair share and could miss out on funding for social services, education and road improvements.

Census data also determines how many seats each state will have in Congress and impacts redistricting of state and local districts. The Census Bureau will need help to conduct the census.

Information regarding employment opportunities can be found at census.gov/2010 census.
