Park Board thanks those who planned July 3 events
Thank you to the village of Lemont and Lemont Township, who together with the Lemont Park District partnered to bring the July 3 fireworks display to fruition. We look forward to working together for many years to come.
Thank you to the estimated crowd of 7,500 who came out to support our festivities. Families from around the area were able to be part of a special night.
Thank you to the Lemont Police Department that helped make this a very safe and festive night. Thank you to the Lemont Fire Protection District for being on site and ready, if needed.
To the Lemont Park Foundation and District 113A PTA for staffing our beer garden and raising funds for two very worthwhile causes. To our sponsors who did an awesome job of keeping people fed and hydrated: Aurelio’s, the Parlor and Seamus McGee’s.
To the Board War teams, thank you for displaying the camaraderie we have built and showing our community we are committed to working together for the betterment of our residents. And finally to the Blue Team: Brian Sullivan, Ross Bruni, Mike Struck, Mike Slonski, Pam Carter, Karen Perkey, Toni Paolini and Eric Darwell, what a tribute to our Makers of Memories moniker.
Every one of the Lemont Park District staff members, who gave their time on July 3. None of this could have been pulled off without your dedication to our district. Job well done. To those who may have been overlooked, thank you.
Patrick Sexton, Lemont Park Board president
