A man has been charged with attempted murder and home invasion following the discovery of his 81-year-old aunt, who was found by police unconscious lying on the floor of her La Grange Park home Oct. 29.

Seven members of the Brookfield Police Department were honored Oct. 12 for their quick thinking after a Brookfield man was shot outside his apartment Sept. 8.
