
The 25th annual LaGrange/Western Springs 5K CROP Hunger Walk will begin at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at First United Methodist Church of LaGrange, 100 W. Cossitt Ave., La Grange.
Participants may stop at St. Francis Xavier Church to drop off non perishable food items for the panty and get a tour if they desire.
This year’s goal is 250 walkers and to raise $25,000. Twenty-five percent of the money raised will remain in our local area. The remainder will help children and adults worldwide and in the U.S.
The churches and organizations that have committed to supporting the event include First UMC of LaGrange, First Presbyterian of LaGrange, Lyonsville Congregational, Holy Covenant Metropolitan Community , First Congregational Church of LaGrange, Presbyterian Church of Western Springs, St. Francis Xavier, Grace Lutheran Church of LaGrange, First UMC of Western Springs, Highlands Presbyterian, St. Cletus, Second Baptist, St. John's of the Cross, St. Barbara's, and Young Life - Metro Southwest.
