A refugee from Sudan’s genocide-ridden western region of Darfur will tell his story at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 20 at Lyons Township High School’s Reber Center, 100 S. Brainard Ave., La Grange.
Darfur native Ibrahim Musa Adam lost 20 family members when his village was burned by Janjaweed militia working with the Sudanese government.
He is one of several speakers on the voices from Darfur speaking tour sponsored by the Save Darfur Coalition.
The event is hosted by the LTHS Social Action Club.
