VIDEO & PHOTO SLIDESHOW: Buddy Guy performs in Downers Grove

Five-time Grammy-award winning Chicago blues legend Buddy Guy performed at Best Buy in Downers Grove Saturday to kick off the store’s musical instrument expansion.
The guitar god, a protégé of Muddy Waters, bantered with the crowd by teasing about his gravelly morning voice, recounting family stories and handing out guitar picks.
The Butterfield Road location now will offer guitars, drums, keyboards, pro-audio and home recording gear using a “store-within-a-store” concept. Best Buy Musical Instruments will carry high-end brands, including Fender, Gibson, Roland, Korg, Yamaha, Line 6, Drum Workshop, Shure and Zildjian.
Both the Downers Grove location, as well as the Aurora spot, the other Chicagoland store to integrate musical instrument products, will offer teaching lessons and in-store repairs.
A Buddy Guy signature model Fender Stratocasters were available for purchase, and the Hall of Famer autographed several during the signing portion of the event.
