William Simon of La Grange, a senior at Marmion Academy, Aurora, was named an Illinois State Scholar by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. Illinois State Scholars rank in the top 10 percent of the state’s 147,000 high school graduating seniors.
Jacqueline Simon of La Grange and Victoria Sikes of Western Springs were named to the second-semester first honors honor roll at Rosary High School, Aurora.
La Grange Park residents Christiana Lee, Danielle Lampariello, Robert Rodgers, Daniel Schovain, Kristina Petkus, Maureen Lee and Sarah Egner were named to the spring-term dean’s list at DePaul University, Chicago.
First-year students Jeremiah Harris of La Grange and Darvis Ward of La Grange Park participated in Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa, summer orientation advising and registration days, which included meeting with advisers, registering for classes and completing necessary paperwork.
Sixteen residents received degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign during December commencement exercises, including La Grange residents Courey Gruszawskas, Matthew Lammers and Andrew Lukanich.
