Katherine Kowalcze and Michael Udstuen were married July 12, 2008, in Grayton Beach, Fla. The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Beverly Kowalcze of Hickory Hills, Ill. The groom is the son of Robert and Constance Eggersdorf of Brookfield.

Katherine chose Amanda Kowalcze as her maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Jackie Udstuen, Cara Dunleavy, Jamie Kelley, Amy Simonetti and Cheryl Giandonato. Alexis Kline was the flower girl.

Michael chose Nick Tabor as his best man. The groomsmen were Lon Kline, Jimmy Janetopoulos, Joe Simonetti and Matt Giandonato.

The bride is a graduate of Nazareth Academy. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from North Central College and a master’s degree in library science from Dominican University. She is employed as librarian, teacher and head cheerleading coach at Tinley Park High School. The groom is a graduate of Riverside-Brookfield High School. He earned a certificate in water operations. He is employed with the Village of Brookfield Public Works.

The couple traveled to Turks and Caicos Islands during their honeymoon. They will reside in Hickory Hills.
