William and Mary Carellas of Saint John, Ind., and Ruth and Dave Buikema of Saint John announce the engagement of their daughter and son, Kristina Carellas and Joseph Buikema.
The bride-to-be earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Purdue University. She is employed as a third-grade teacher in Merrillville, Ind.
The groom-to-be earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights. He is employed as an insurance agent for Farm Bureau.
