Anniversary: Biskowskis celebrate 50th

Sherlane and Joseph Biskowski of North Riverside celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 9, 2008. The couple was married Aug. 9, 1958, at St. Athanasius Church in Evanston, Ill.
Sherlane worked as a pharmacist at Stach Pharmacy in Chicago for 28 years and for Walgreens for 16 years. She retired in 2001. She is a former president of the Riverside-Brookfield High School Board of Education from 1983 to 1987. Joseph worked as a pharmacist for Stach Pharmacy for 25 years and for Walgreens for 16 years. He retired in 2001.
The Biskowskis have four children, Lawrence Biskowski, Stephen and Katherine (Biskowski) Jensen, Dr. Martin Biskowski and David and Rosalie (Biskowski) Eckert.
