James and Mary Ann Gecan of LaGrange announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Elizabeth Gecan, to Travis William Burge, son of Tim and Kari Burge of Fort Collins, Colo.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Lyons Township High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in food science from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign. She is employed as a brewing project engineer for Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis.
The groom-to-be is a graduate of Rocky Mountain High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Colorado State University. He is employed as a brewing area manager for Anheuser-Busch in Williamsburg, Va.
The wedding is planned for August 2008. The couple will live in Williamsburg.
