Boys soccer

Tyler Davis scored on a feed from Mike Winhoffer with 15 minutes left as the host North Stars downed Oak Park-River Forest 1-0 in Pepsi Showdown action Thursday. The North Stars improved to 6-2.

Girls tennis

No. 1 doubles team Kate Lesswing and Ashley Randazzo were part of a sweep in doubles play as the North Stars downed St. Francis 5-1.

Girls volleyball

Facing a powerful Benet team on its home floor, St. Charles North fell 25-21, 25-23 Thursday. Kim Juriga led the attack with nine kills with Lauren Madziarczyk adding eight. Emily Belz had 21 assists for the North Stars (7-4 on the season).

Boys golf

John Carroll was part of a three-way tie for medalist honors with a score of 37 at Thursday's Upstate Eight River dual with Geneva, but the Vikings won 155-156 thank to 37s from John Krutzler and Pat Cuscaden.

Dan Shepherd (38), Pete Roschmann (39) and Quint Barr (42) provided the rest of the scoring for the North Stars, who fell to 2-1 in conference play.
