Camping equipment, ladder stolen in burglary
Camping gear and an extension ladder were reported stolen from a locked garage on the 200 block of Nordic Road at about 5:30 p.m. July 21.
The items were valued at $450.

Computers, video games stolen from apartment
Two Dell laptop computers, three video-game systems, several video games and a global positioning system unit were stolen from a home on the 200 block of Michigan Court between 4:15 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. July 21.
The stolen items were valued at $5,700.

Glendale Heights man faces DUI charge
Marc Sarosario, 31,127 E. Altgeld Ave., Glendale Heights, was charged with improper lane use, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving under the influence of alcohol at about 1:15 a.m. July 22 near Bloomingdale Road and Park Avenue.

Resident charged with multiple offenses
Matthew Winters, 38, of 284 Cardinal Drive, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving out of classification, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to give information, driving with a revoked license and two counts of obstructing a peace officer at about 4:45 p.m. July 22 near Lake Street and Fairfield Way.

Cigarettes stolen from tobacco shop
A total of 92 cartons of cigarettes, valued at $3,249, were reported stolen at about 1:30 a.m. July 23 from Cigarette Zone, 156 E. Lake St.

Glendale Heights woman faces retail theft charge
Dhwani Shah, 19, of 72 Jackson Drive, Glendale Heights, was charged with retail theft after she allegedly tried to conceal $623 worth of merchandise in a bag at about 4:15 p.m. July 24 at the Kohl’s store in Stratford Square Mall.

Cabinets, cell phones stolen from store
Two storage cabinets and 11 cellular telephones, with a total value of $2,975, were stolen between 11 p.m. July 23 and 10 a.m. July 24 from the Page Comm store in Stratford Square Mall.

Computer stolen from Indian Lakes resort
A Dell notebook computer, valued at $3,100, was stolen between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. July 25 from a conference room in the Hilton Indian Lakes Resort, 250 W. Schick Road.

Electronics stolen through car window
An Apple iPod, iPod charger and GPS unit were stolen through the open window of a car parked outside Dick’s Sporting Goods, 328 W. Army Trail Road, between 5:35 and 6 p.m. July 24.
The items were valued at $580.

House pelted with eggs
Numerous eggs were thrown at a house and cars along the 1300 block of Lakeshore Street. The incident was reported at about 8:45 a.m. July 23.
No damage was reported.

Chicago man charged with drug possession
Arthur Plesniak, no age given, of Chicago, was charged with possession of a controlled substance at about 8 p.m. July 22 along the 600 block of East St. Charles Road.

Glendale Heights man faces DUI charges
Miguel A. Martinez, 27, of 2N164 Diane St., Glendale Heights, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at about 3 a.m. July 20 near North Avenue and Schmale Road.

Police: Man was driving with suspended license
Andrew S. Kuzcker, 36, of 585 Thornhill Ave., No. 206, Carol Stream, was charged with driving with a suspended license and speeding at 5 p.m. July 23 along the 1900 block of Bentley Court.

Several vehicles damaged with spray paint
Several cars were vandalized July 23 along the 300 and 400 blocks of Belden Avenue.
According to police, several vehicles were damaged with spray paint. No damage estimates or offender information was provided by police.

Cash register stolen from Army Trail firm
A cash register was removed from a business along the 200 block of East Army Trail Road. The incident was reported at 4:15 a.m. July 2.
No weapon was displayed; and no one was injured in the incident.
Police did not indicate how much money was inside the register when it was taken.

Man charged with violating protection order
Kevin J. Bare, 28, of Hanover Park, was arrested in the first block of Walnut Court and charged with violation of an order of protection at 5:15 p.m. July 20.

Furnishings stolen from condo lobby
A table and picture were stolen from the lobby of a condominium building on the first block of South Prospect Street at 1:15 p.m. July 20.

Two cars burglarized at train station
The owner of a four-door Chevrolet reported at 7:30 p.m. July 18 that an offender broke the passenger-side window of the vehicle while it was parked at the train station, located on the 500 block of East Irving Park Road, and stole a radar detector and radio.
A stereo was also reported stolen from a vehicle at the train station. That report was made at 8:30 p.m. July 18.

Frames taken from Primary Vision
Two pairs of Gucci and two pairs of Versace eyewear frames were reported stolen at 1 p.m. July 22 from Primary Vision Center, located on the 800 block of North Roselle Road. The frames were valued at $1,000.

Mailbox blown up on Sunnyside Road
A resident reported at 5:30 a.m. July 22 that a mailbox on the 800 block of Sunnyside Road was blown up.
