Members of the Wheaton Junior Women’s Club will visit the Humanitarian Service Project, 465 Randy Road, Carol Stream Friday for a “thank-you” tour.

The Humanitarian Service Project provides groceries and gifts to needy families, children and seniors living in DuPage and Kane counties.

According to Paul Yambrovich, community outreach coordinator for the Humanitarian Service Project, the Wheaton Junior Women's Club donated $9,000 in 1992 to start the service project’s building fund. The Juniors have been  supporters of the mission for more than 21 years.

“We were able to build a substantial fund over the years around that initial donation that enabled us to (move to a)15,000 square-foot office and warehouse building (in 2006)," Yambrovich said.

Women’s club members will also bring 10 students from the Wheaton-Warrenville South High School’s Key Club to participate in a wrapping party for gifts for the Children's Birthday Project on Friday.
