Elgin Symphony Orchestra serving as a drop-off location for the City of Elgin’s food drive. To encourage donations, the ESO is offering one free ticket for every 10 non-perishable food items dropped off in person at the box office, 20 DuPage Court, Elgin. Preschool screening
Community Consolidated School District 93 will conduct preschool screenings for resident children ages 33 months to 5 years old at Cloverdale School, 1182 Merbach Drive, Carol Stream, on Mondays, Jan. 5 and March 2. Screenings will be held at Roy DeShane School, 475 Chippewa Trail, Carol Stream, on Mondays, Feb. 9 and March 9. Photographers wanted
The Bloomingdale Park District Museum inviting photographers to enter its annual juried photography show for 2009, titled, “Click!” Interested artists may drop off their pieces at the museum, 108 S. Bloomingdale Road, from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, and from 10 a.m. tlo 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7. Work must be properly framed and wired.
