
Skids stolen
Huntley police received a report Oct. 8 that 200 skids were stolen from the rear parking lot of LDI Industries, 12901 Jim Dhamer Drive. The estimated loss is $1,000.
Burglar steals cash
Huntley police received a report Oct. 8 that a residential burglary occurred near 11200 Grove St. An unknown person entered the residence and stole $400 cash, according to police.
Man arrested for warrant
Fredy Hernandez, 22, 3047 Wakefield, Carpentersville, was arrested Oct. 8 for driving with a suspended license and an outstanding warrant out of Boone County, according to police. He posted bond and was released.
Slide vandalized
Huntley police received a report Oct. 8 of criminal defacement to property occurred at Borhart Park in the Covington Lakes subdivision on Abbey Road. Graffiti was sprayed on the west-facing slide of the jungle gym, according to police.
Suspects arrested
Three juveniles were arrested Oct. 9 in connection with a burglary that took place in May at the Tobacco Hut on Route 47, according to police.
Attempted break-in
According to Huntley police, an attempted burglary occurred near 10700 Sante Fe. Between 9 p.m. Oct. 6 and 6 a.m. Oct. 7 an individual attempted to gain entry to a home from the front window, according to police. Entry was not gained.
Police respond to high school
Two male juveniles at the high school were charged with battery for fighting in the school cafeteria. Both were issued local ordinance violations with a court date of Monday, Nov. 5.
Welding machines stolen
Huntley police received a report Oct. 12 that three welding machines were stolen between midnight and 5 a.m. from R & R Metalcraft Inc., 11012 Bakley. The total value of the three machines is $45,000, according to police.
Sunglasses stolen
Huntley police received a report Oct. 12 that five pairs of sunglasses valued at $1,200 were stolen from the Sunglass Hut at the Prime Outlet Mall, 11800 Factory Shops Blvd.
Woman arrested for traffic violations
Ernesta Hernandez, 27, 701 Washington, Woodstock, was arrested Oct. 13 for driving without a valid driver’s license, according to police. She was also cited for speeding and having no insurance, police said. She was transported to McHenry County Jail and released after posting bond.

Man arrested for disobeying train signal
Juan Carlos Garcia Barrios, 25, 260 N. Main St., Walworth, Wis., was arrested Oct. 10 for disobeying an on-coming train signal and driving without a valid driver’s license, according to police. He was transported to McHenry County Jail and released after posting bond.
Man arrested on drug charges
Timothy J. Montgomery, 30, Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 11 for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, according to police. He was transported to McHenry County Jail and released after posting bond.
