Huntley police received a report Oct. 3 that 150 feet of copper was stolen from the area of 14500 Burgundy Way. Police said the copper was dug up during the night and broken away.

Property defaced
• Huntley police received a report Oct. 4 of criminal defacement that occurred at the Tobacco Hut on 10716 S. Route 47. Police said an unknown person spray-painted the building.
• Huntley police received a report Oct. 5 that criminal defacement to property occurred on signs, rocks and picnic tables at Timers park. Police said unknown persons spray painted profanity on park equipment.
• Huntley police received a report Oct. 5 that criminal defacement to property that occurred at St. Mary’s Church, 10911 Woodstock St. Police said graffiti was sprayed on the building and retaining wall.
• Huntley police received a report Oct. 5 that criminal defacement to property occurred near Rosati’s, 10896 Route 47. Police said a large amount of graffiti was spray-painted on a fence and the back of the building.
• Huntley police received a report Oct. 5 that criminal defacement to property occurred at the American Legion, 11712 Coral St. Police said graffiti was found on the roof and sides of the building.
Man arrested for trespass
John Corona, 34, 9545 Avenue M, Chicago, was arrested Oct. 5 for criminal trespass to property, according to police. He was transported to McHenry County Jail.
Room set on fire
Huntley police received a report Oct. 5 that criminal damage to property occurred near 11700 Woodcreek. A laundry room was set on fire and then put out with an extinguisher, police said.
Man arrested for DUI
Juan A. Montalvo-Galvez, 29, 1120 21st., Rockford, was arrested Sept. 30 for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without insurance and driving with a suspended license, police said. He was transported to McHenry County Jail.
Traffic arrest made
Daniel J. Proffitt, 21, 422 First Ave., Marengo, was arrested Oct. 5 for driving under the influence of alcohol, use of an unsafe tire, having an unsecured load, improper lane usage and failure to signal a turn, according to police. He was transported to McHenry County Jail.
Hole put in tire
Huntley police received a report Sept. 25 that a hole was put in a tire during the night in the area of 12200 Sinnett Street.
Gas stolen
Huntley police received a report Sept. 24 that gas valued at $35.01 was stolen from Drendel’s Mobil on Route 47.
Mailboxes knocked down
Huntley police received a report Sept. 27 that two mailboxes were knocked off their post near 12500 Castle Rock.
Items stolen from home
Huntley police received a report Sept. 28 that several items were stolen from a home in the area of 10800 Wingpointe. There were no signs of forced entry, according to police.
Propane tanks stolen
Huntley police received a report Sept. 24 that four 80-pound propane tanks were stolen from Impact Plastics, 11193 Dundee Road.
Man arrested on warrant
Daniel A. Konior of Huntley was arrested Sept. 26 on an outstanding warrant for disorderly conduct out of McHenry County, according to police. He was transported to McHenry County Jail and released after posting bond.
Man arrested for violations
Jose Diaz-Hernandez, 27, 1929 Lakewood, McHenry, was arrested Sept. 29 for driving without a valid license, driving without insurance, and disobeying a stop sign, according to police. He was transported to McHenry County Jail and released after posting bond.
Teen charged with assault
A juvenile at Huntley High School was charged with aggravated assault of a school official Sept. 26, according to police. Police said the juvenile made threatening remarks and took physical action.
Wallet stolen
A girl’s wallet was reported stolen out of the girl’s bathroom at Huntley High School Sept. 27, police said.
Food stolen
Police said a juvenile at Huntley High School stole a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and two cookies from the cafeteria line Sept. 28 and was issued a citation.
Tobacco possession
A juvenile at Huntley High School was charged with possession of tobacco by a minor Sept. 25, according to police.
