Copper stolen

Huntley police received a report Sept. 3 that copper was stolen from several homes under construction in the Copper Lane area. The estimated value of the stolen copper is $6,000.

Huntley police received a report Aug. 3 that copper was stolen from a home under construction in the area of Russet Lane. The estimated value of the copper is $1,000.

Student’s car keyed

Huntley police received a report Sept. 6 that criminal damage property occurred at the Huntley High School. A student’s vehicle was keyed while parked in the lot, police said.

Stop sign defaced

Huntley police received a report Sept. 8 that criminal defacement to property occurred on a stop sign near Carl and Douglas Roads.

Juveniles arrested for curfew violation

Huntley police issued two juveniles ordinance violations for curfew Sept. 8. They were given a court date and released to their parents.

Juveniles caught smoking cigarettes

Two juveniles were caught in the Huntley high school parking lot smoking cigarettes, police said. The juveniles were given a court date and issued citations.

Men arrested for possession of marijuana

James M. Gajewski, 21, 115 St. Andrews, Algonquin, was arrested Sept. 3 for possession of cannabis and driving with a suspended license, according to police.

Benjamin E. Ryan, 20, 409 S. Windhaven, McHenry, was a passenger in Gajewski’s car and was also arrested for possession of cannabis, police said. Both men were released from McHenry County Jail after posting bond.

Man charged with battery, drug possession

Michael R. Loranca, 26, 187 Uteg, No. 206, Crystal Lake, was arrested Sept. 6 for domestic battery, aggravated assault, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police. He was transported to McHenry County Jail.

License violations

Guillermo Medrano, 34, 1116 W. 12th St., Belvidere, was arrested Sept. 5 for disobeying a traffic control device, failure to wear a seat belt and driving without a license, according to police. He was transported to McHenry County Jail and released after posting bond.

Enriqueta Garcia, 33, 440 Johnson St., Marengo, was arrested Sept. 5 driving without a license and disobeying a stop sign, according to police. She was transported to McHenry County Jail and released after posting bond.
