Western suburbs to see severe weather all day

Downers Grove, IL -
There is a severe thunderstorm warning in affect until 11 a.m. Friday for northern DuPage County and central Kane County, according to the National Weather Service in Romeoville.
Meteorologist Stephen Rodriguez said a severe thunderstorm watch is also in affect across the western suburbs until 3 p.m. Friday.
Rodriguez said the area will see winds in excess of 60 miles per hour and possibly some quarter-size hail.
No tornadoes have been reported as of 10:30 a.m. Friday.
“We’ll have a series of thunderstorms continue to move through the area much of the day,” Rodriguez said.
