The Kane County Health Department received a new shipment of H1N1 vaccine yesterday and appointments to receive a dose can be made by calling (630) 723-5414.
Health department official expect that the shipment of 5,000 doses will allow for appointments to be filled by residents through the end of December.
The health department ran out of the vaccine last week.
"We are still in the midst of a nationwide shortage, but the vaccine deliveries are beginning to trickle in to the providers and agencies that ordered it," said Paul Kuehnert, executive director for the health department. "As we move forward, the vaccine will be available to everybody who needs it."
