Eclipse Soccer Club's U-17 Select 91-92 girls team won a U.S. Youth Soccer Region II championship with a 4-0 win over Internationals Soccer Club of Ohio Wendesday in Siox Falls, South Dakota.

After more than an hour of scoreless play, Vanessa Laxgang opened the scoring for Eclipse with a goal in the game's 67th minute. Sammy Scofield of Geneva put one in just five minutes later, and her goal was followed by strikes from Maggie Murnane in the 80th minute and Ariana Kulinczenko in the 86th minute.

Eclipse will now move on to represent U.S. Youth Soccer National League at the National Championships.

Two other Eclipse Select teams won Region II championships and will move on to the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships July 21-26 in Lancaster, Massachusetts.

The U-14 team endured scoreless regulation and two scoreless overtime periods before winning in penalty kicks. Eclipse netted four penalty kicks to Ohio Premier's two and won the match 1-0.

The U-19 Select 89-90 team put the clamps on a KCFC Jazz team that entered the game  having scored 10 goals while allowing just one in four tournament games. Eclipse, which had netted eight goals while conceding one during its tournament run, won 3-0 to defend its Region II title from 2008.

After the Jazz put in an own goal to stake Eclipse to a 1-0 lead in the game's 52nd minute, Jessica Price put in an insurance goal two minutes later and Carly Samp netted a goal in the 62nd minute to all but seal the outcome.
