The Chicago Suburban Antiques Dealers Association has picked an election theme for its fall show this weekend, featuring 55 dealers from 14 states at the Kane County Fairgrounds.
Antique furnishings of every shape and size, including patriotic items, will be offered at the semi-annual Fox Valley Antiques Show. Guests are invited to attend free “5-Minute Schools” throughout the weekend. Saturday’s mini-lecture topics will be “American Artist, Rockwell Kent, in a Nutshell”; “Hooked Rugs”; and “Collecting Halloween.” Sunday’s lineup includes “Revolutionary War Era Clothing.”
This will be the first show in the spacious new fairgrounds facility adjacent to the old building on Randall Road between Routes 64 and 38 in St. Charles. Catered lunch is available. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19. For more information, visit www.csada.com or call (815) 838-0606.
