Cathy Mangan of Huntley was named to the fall dean’s list at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. Mangan achieved a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.


• Nelson Granadillo of Huntley completed degree requirements at Aurora University.

• District 158 students who have completed grades five through 12 are invited to participate in the summer production of “Alice in Wonderland” at Huntley High School.

The camp will run from Tuesday, June 12, to Friday, July 13. Rehearsals will be from 8 a.m. until noon Monday through Friday. Cost for the camp is $150. Show dates are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 13 to 15. To register, contact Tom George at (847) 659-6635 or e-mail tgeorge@district158.org.

• Illinois State Achievement Test reports will be sent home with students Friday, March 2.  Students in ninth grade will receive their reports from their English teachers. For questions, call Lorraine Lid, curriculum/assessment director, at (847) 659-6136.

• Ryan Starnes and Mark Wisz, both from Marengo, were among the 1,153 students at Illinois State University who completed requirements for the bachelor’s degree at the end of the Fall 2006 semester. Starnes students earned a Bachelor of Science degree.
