Brookfield Suburban Life

Brookfield, IL -

A pictorial history book of Brookfield Zoo will debut at the zoo on July 1.
Called “Brookfield Zoo and the Chicago Zoological Society” and written by Douglas Deucher of Oak Park and Carla Owens of Chicago, the book sells for $21.99.
The zoo is also inviting patrons to contribute photographs of past zoo visits to an online scrapbook.  Contributors to the scrapbook will be entered into a drawing to win a Wild Encounters package, one of 10 copies of the new book, or a one-year family membership.
To enter, patrons must be 12 years of age or older. The deadline for photos is Aug. 2, and the winners will be selected on Aug. 3.
Selected images will be posted on the zoo’s Web site. To submit a photo or learn more, visit www.czs.org/scrapbook.
