Negotiating an intergovernmental agreement between the village of Hinsdale and the Forest Preserve District of Cook County has been an arduous task. Hinsdale officials want new soccer fields to be part of developing a tract of land owned by the forest preserve. But Cook County staffers and forest preserve advocacy groups aren’t thrilled about the proposed soccer fields. Should Hinsdale officials hold out for new soccer fields as part of the proposed development?
