The Elmhurst American Legion Auxiliary will be holding its Fourth Annual Chili Cook-Off at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the post home, 310 W. Butterfield Road, Elmhurst.
The event is held annually to raise funds for the unit’s Packages Abroad project. Former Chicago Bear Keith VanHorne and Los Angeles Ram Bill Leagan will be featured celebrity judges along with several others who will be on hand to sample chili entries.
Have a favorite chili recipe? There is no cost to enter the contest other than the cost of your ingredients, and you just might be a prize winner.
The group asks that those sampling the entries make a free-will donation to help purchase and mail comfort items that are sent to our service personnel overseas.
For more information or to enter the cook-off, call Joanne Shultz at (630) 833-8249.
