The Athlete Within to hold traveling team tryouts

The Athlete Within Basketball School will host tryouts for its traveling teams for kids in fifth through eighth grades. The tryouts will be held on Monday, Oct. 6 and Wednesday, Oct. 8 at The MAX, 4750 S. Vernon Ave., McCook. Tryouts for fifth and sixth graders will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., while tryouts for seventh and eighth graders will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Practices will begin the week after tryouts, with League and Tournament play beginning in late October. Upon completion of tryouts, the cost to participate in The Athlete Within’s traveling team will be $500. Included in the fee are practice/game uniforms, court fees, coaching salaries and tournament/league fees.
