Boys golf

Lyons Township’s boys golf team won a pair of West Suburban Conference Silver Division matches this week. On Monday, the Lions topped host Oak Park-River Forest 161-179 thanks to a 36 from Brenten Blakeman. James Feiler added a 40, Kevin Workman a 42, Kevin Mulcahey a 45 and Tomas Venclovas a 47.

Then, on Tuesday, the Lions topped Downers Grove North 152-169 at home. Austin Lusson and Venclovas each shot 37s to lead the way for LT, with Blakeman adding a 38. Workman shot a 40, with Feiler and Mulcahey adding 43s.

Girls volleyball

Lyons Township's girls volleyball team improved to 9-4 with a pair of wins this week. On Monday, the Lions topped Queen of Peace 25-20, 25-19. Rachel Levitt led the way with eight kills, with Mo Stroka adding five and Katie Bazzoni five.

On Tuesday, the Lions topped Oak Park-River Forest in a West Suburban Conference Silver Division match 25-13-, 25-17. Levitt and Laura Williams each had seven kills, with Alexis Viliunas handing out 21 assists to go with her four kills.

Girls golf

Lyons Township's girls golf team won the Silver Division at the Celtic Swing with a 373, a nine-stroke win over Downers Grove North. Katie Ellis led the way with an 82, with Kyle Hopwood adding a 94, Emily Rohan a 98, Alyssa Lies a 99 and Sarah Smith a 99.

On Monday, the Lions lost 176-196 to Hinsdale Central at La Grange Country Club. Smith shot a 47 to lead the way, with Grace Summers adding a 49, Hopwood a 50 and Lies a 50. Maggie Jacobson added a 51, as well, for LT.
