Girls tennis
St. Joseph’s girls tennis team lost 3-2 to Montini Monday, but played tough in falling. Maggie Christopher won 5-7, 6-3 (10-4) at No. 2 singles, while the No. 3 doubles team of Destinee Melton and Donna Koeber won 6-3, 6-4.
Boys soccer
St. Joseph continued its winning ways last week by topping Fenton 5-3 thanks to two goals from Roberto Almazan. Also scoring in the win were Rolando Zuniga, John Porvanzik and Marco Gutierrez. Monday, the Chargers topped Carmel 3-2 thanks to two goals from Gutierrez and another from Porvanzik. Almazan and Juan Perez added assists.
The Chargers are now 4-2-2 overall with two conference wins.
